I actually did a lot of work to fix the issues that I mentioned in the last post.
1. for the mouse(I/O issue), so far I haven't figured out any working solution.
2. for the NAT networking issue, it is very important for Live Migrartion- if no networking, where can the VM copy go?
Also, open the xend configuration file by gedit and find all the line related to NAT and remove the # marks infront of each line, and save the file.
Then restart the xend service by:
sudo send restart
I went to and opened the configuration file via virt-manager and changed the choice of network form bridge to nat.
There was still error warning on the top of pop menu, I directly started the VM and finally the networking was working.
3. for the display issue( only 640*480 resolution)
I actually did not think this could be an issue for the project, only thing was that sooo ugly and something was really hard to made in the VM for eyes.
I updated and upgraded all softwares in the VM by typing:
sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get upgrade
After that, I seemed like the situation was better-- the resolution was then 800*600. Yeah, really better than nothing changed.
